What was your situation before you started working with CIGMA Accounting Ltd?
We were in a situation where the client had not submitted any tax returns are was concerned their backdated liability would be more than they could afford. Fortunately, Haroon was able to assure the client that what would be due to HMRC is not as high as they were thinking.

Yes, the client had not correctly arranged their business affairs, and a tour for Russia and the Far East was in jeopardy (working visa requirement needed the submission of certain financial documents).

You are within local proximity of the client. A quick Google search placed CIGMA almost at the top of listings. Plus, the first phone call was enough to convince the client that you were the accountants we need.

Not at all. We were at total ease from the first phone call to the first meeting.

How did working with CIGMA Accounting Ltd transform your business or financial situation? Please give specific results.
It gave the client the confidence to pursue other business interests. Armed with the knowledge that their tax liability will not be as high as they presumed, they were able to funnel capital into a new venture that is outside their normal scope. A new company was incorporated and is up and trading; already marching towards profitability. Through CIGMA, we are now applying for trademarks in the UK, Europe and worldwide with the view to take the business global.

If you have worked with another accountant before, how does our service compare to your previous experiences?
Yes. Previously, our relationship with our accountants did not warrant this level of interaction. We would simple submit our figures to the accountants, and they would submit our tax returns. A once or twice a year interaction. With the urgency of some of our requirements, and the complexity of some of our dealings; our relationship with CIGMA has been more active. Haroon is very quick to respond to any query, and asks lots of questions to understand the nature of our business. The evening meetings we have had have been pleasant events. I never once had a meeting as such with our previous accountants!

What is one thing CIGMA Accounting Ltd offered that no one else does, or at least no one else does as well?
An inquisitive grasp of what makes the client tick. He works in the music industry as an artist. The nature of an artist is not necessarily the most conventional. They are also not the most organised of individuals whose behaviour can change on a whim. Haroon has experienced this first hand, but has encouraged us to find a way forward and conduct the business that needs to be addressed.

What would have happened if you had never worked with CIGMA Accounting Ltd?
We would have found another accountant and found a way to address our affairs, regardless. But the client’s tour of Russia and the Far East at the time would have probably suffered. Obviously, there is no way to accurately measure what would have happened, but we are happy with the choice we made!

Will you recommend working with us to your colleagues and friends?
Yes, most definitely. CIGMA have already gained another client as the new venture is partnered with another individual. This new partner has been more than happy with CIGMA’s performance is this short time.

Before working with you, my situation was slightly unnerving. My accounts were something I needed to look at, but never made the time. I needed help on everything including basic bookkeeping and tax return, and business advice.
